CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS OF GLAUCOMATOUS DISC HEMORRHAGES
Austin R. Lifferth OD, FAAO
Not all disc hemorrhages are glaucomatous, but when they are, they may literally be red flags regarding the patient's present diagnosis and their future prognosis.
Where do we look for such red flags, when are they most likely to occur, which patients are most likely to have them - and what should we do (if anything?) when we see them? This discussion reviews relevant research to try to answer such questions to better determine the clinical implications of glaucomatous disc hemorrhages.
