Interesting idea; I see some potential weaknesses:

1. Multiple injections = multiple chances for a bad reaction.

2. Such eyes have developed a balance of trabecular outflow and uveo-scleral outflow. Such a reinforcing layer could impede uveo-scleral outflow, resulting in increased IOP.

3. The application may not be uniform, causing the development of strong spots and weak spots. The old "the chain is only as strong as its weakest link" idea comes into play here.

Why not try some easier stuff, like lowering IOP and reducing convergence demand?
