I am looking forward to participating in CEWire again this year.
It is a great conference with amazing speakers and topics. I'm honored to be a part of it.
RCE is one of the most common clinical entities seen in clinical practice and this course will review the etiologies, non surgical and surgical treatments for this condition.
See you soon.

It is a pleasure having you every year as one of the treasures Optometry has to offer, Steve. Enjoy the conference (s)

Is there a way to get the info without attending CEWire?
Pay for play, Steve. There is no free lunch For great CE that is not subject to sponsor grants etc. It's a small price to pay for 77 hours https://cewire2025.com/ Our courses are new and we vet our speaker's ARBO lectures to make sure the content is new and not shown elsewhere. So actually there is no other way to get the same exact content especially Synchronous where you could interact with people like Dr. Sorkin in real-time...................invaluable

I’m absolutely willing to pay for CE.

How about for 8 hours? Or 4 hours per year.

HOW MANY HOURS CAN I CLAIM FOR ONLINE OR VIRTUAL CE?

Indiana law limits self-study continuing education for an optometry license and optometric legend drug certificate renewal to a total of eight (8) hours biennially. Self-study CE must include an examination or post-evaluation in order to qualify for credit.

WHAT IS SELF-STUDY CONTINUING EDUCATION?

  • Self-study includes live streamed and static online CE courses.
  • CE must be sponsored by an approved organization, such as IOA, COPE, a university, or the program must be specifically approved by the Indiana Optometry Board.
  • Self-study CE must include a written examination or post evaluation.
DOES CE HAVE TO BE COPE APPROVED IN INDIANA?

No, Indiana law does not require courses to be COPE approved to count for continuing education credit.

I TOOK A LIVE COPE COURSE ONLINE. DOES THIS COUNT AS CE CREDIT?

As long as this course was presented by an approved provider and included a post-test, it will count as CE credit. Indiana law requires any online program to include a post-test. The majority of streamed courses do not meet this requirement. Live online courses are considered self-study and the eight hour limit applies.
