Bruce Schenker lived most of his adult life in New Paltz, where he raised his family and became "an institution in the New Paltz area,'' according to his son, Sean Schenker. But it's safe to say that Bruce Schenker's second home was in Hyde Park, where he was also an institution because of his longtime optometry practice in town.
