OH.....we have a family of skunks (not to mention other critters) in the backyard. Daisy gets along with them just fine. She like to follow then about 10 feet behind. Skunk stops, turns around to check on her, then resumes his/her journey. Daisy follows. This goes on until Daisy gets bored. Once in a while Daisy gets too close. Skunk raises tail. Daisy lies down. Skunk continues on. Never got sprayed, but e have "skunk off!" just in case.
Not mine but pretty darn cute;
My son is thinking of getting a pug. Do they all have breathing issues?View attachment 12505

Oh, I hope your furry baby feels better soon. Our beagle tore both his ACL's on his hind legs. After PT and months of no jumping, running etc, NSAID'S, it's finally healed.Our sweet girl blew out her cranial cruciate ligament and underwent TPLO surgery to repair it last week. She is recovering very well so far, although my husband and I are very worried about keeping her subdued during the recovery period. (We have sedatives and will need to use them.) The other stressful thought is that she has 50% chance of blowing out the other one. :-(View attachment 13972

Now that we have met your pets, any story you wish to share to show your dog's intelligence? sort of like bragging about children and grandchildren. Important to the bragger but the kids couldn't care less.

Three big buck in my back yard, tons of bunnies, not as many foxes as prior years(hence the bunnies), occasional turkeys over the past 3 years all while a few homes are going up on 28 acre parcel behind us which will take some away from the back yard view.Don't have any pets to care for though sometimes I wish. Just can't bring myself to be a care giver at this time. Do get to enjoy the wildlife around me. Two maturing bucks in the lower field today. Past two years a covey of quail have entertained me. They run funny! Half a dozen cottontails and jacks zig zag ahead of me when I leave for work. Been seeing a red fox and coyote recently. Doves and various other bird species flitter around. Also the high desert variety of lizards abound.
Our cat Buddy resembles Arya, but has a grey mustache. My wife has grown to dote on the cats.My cat Bella had cancer and had to be put to sleep right after Thanksgiving. Jeez that was tough to do.
Anyway we adopted two new kittens from the pound and the kids and I have had a blast with them. Even my wife who is not an animal person loves them. I introduce Beans and Arya:
